MetaMask Adds Native Support for Sei Blockchain, Enhancing Cross-Chain Web3 Access

MetaMask, the leading self-custody Web3 wallet with over 100 million users, has officially integrated Sei, a high-performance Layer-1 blockchain, into its suite of natively supported networks.
This strategic collaboration marks a major step forward in MetaMask’s ongoing expansion into multi-chain functionality, now bringing the total number of supported networks to 11.
Through this integration, MetaMask users can now seamlessly access the Sei ecosystem—including its decentralized applications (dApps), NFTs, DeFi platforms, and tokens—directly within the MetaMask wallet interface. The move aims to streamline user onboarding, enhance security, and reduce the complexity commonly associated with cross-chain interactions.

Sei Ecosystem Now Accessible Inside MetaMask
With Sei’s addition, users benefit from a dedicated Sei page within MetaMask Portfolio, offering real-time access to applications, tokens, games, and NFTs. Users can swap, bridge, and purchase SEI tokens directly through MetaMask using credit cards, Apple Pay, or other integrated payment options—removing the need for external tools.
The Sei blockchain has rapidly emerged as a dominant player in the EVM-compatible ecosystem. Since the launch of its EVM layer in 2023, Sei has seen explosive growth with:
- Over 4.2 million daily transactions
- A total value locked (TVL) exceeding $600 million
- 11 million monthly active users
The seamless onboarding within MetaMask not only opens the Sei ecosystem to millions of new users but also addresses major pain points in cross-chain navigation, particularly for newer Web3 users.
Web3 Expansion Through Unified Multi-Chain Experience
Gal Eldar, MetaMask’s Global Product Lead, emphasized the importance of solving real user problems:
“Web3 is moving toward a multi-chain reality. Supporting networks like Sei is about removing friction and helping users explore without switching wallets or navigating complicated bridges.”
Justin Barlow, Executive Director of the Sei Development Foundation, also hailed the partnership:
“This unlocks Sei’s infrastructure for over 100 million users, significantly expanding our reach.”
As MetaMask continues to evolve from its Ethereum-only roots to a universal multi-chain wallet, integrations like this strengthen its position as the go-to gateway for decentralized digital activity.
With Sei’s robust performance and MetaMask’s massive reach, this integration is set to fuel the next phase of Web3 adoption—offering users a smoother, more secure, and more connected blockchain experience.
